Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she went to an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her races.
