Lil Yacthy, is a rapper, singer , and writer, best known for his single 'One Night'. Miles Parks McCollum, his actual name, is Miles Parks McCollum. He is also known as the names Nautica Boat Boy and Lil Boat. He gained fame through his two mixtapes 'Summer Songs 2' and "Lil Boat'. It wasn't his first performance as a singer. The first songs he recorded, 'One Night' (August 2015) and 'Minnesota (August 2015) are what brought him his initial recognition. These were both part of his debut EP (Extended play) named 'Summer songs. The current roster of his music labels includes  Capital Records and  QCM and  Motown Records. Yachty has worked with well-known rappers like 'D.R.A.M and "Chance the Rapper," among others. Yachty's official website features his merchandise. He also was employed by McDonald's. It was there that he made friends with other aspiring producers and rappers. Yachty was accepted into Alabama State University as a graduate student, but left after a period of two months. Yachty was a huge fan of music that was different and was a departure from the norms of his youth. His father was a great example of this, as he shared with him a variety of styles of music from his youth. He adopted the nickname "Yachty" and moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to New York in 2015 to pursue his dream of becoming a successful musician. In New York, he stayed with a close friend and looked for opportunities to join the music scene. While there, he met street fashion stars online and gained an extensive following on Instagram. He made a deal with Burberry Perry (producer and beat maker) and his other main collaborator K$upreme. They're collectively called "The Saling Team" and they worked in Lil Yachty’s bedroom. The first time he was successful was after Drake's OVO Sound Radio aired his hit track 'Minnesota'. The track "1Night" was Lil Yachty's breakthrough hit. The singer posted the video for the track online and it quickly went viral. He was the center of the media's interest when his SoundCloud version of "One Night" was included in an online meme.
