Jolie Voight (born on the 4th of June, 1975 in Los Angeles, California), is an
American actor, director, and producer best known for her sex appeal , as well
as her humanitarian work. Jolie, the daughter and actor Jon Voight, was raised
in New York. After her growing up, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she
played the part of mentally ill patient in Girl, interrupted (1999). She was a
student at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute for two years and then
enrolled at Beverly Hills High School. She then studied acting at New York
University. Alongside acting in theater productions, she also modeled and
appeared in music videos.Jolie's first big movie performance was in Hackers
(1995) and during the filming process, she met her first husband, British actor
Jonny Lee Miller (married 1996; divorced 1999). In addition to the other films,
the film did not attract a crowd. Jolie as the role of the governor's wife in
Alabama, a segregationist and was the focus of attention in 1997. In the
following year, she received the Golden Globe Award. The following year , she
portrayed a supermodel who was struggling with addiction issues in the HBO
movie Gia the actress, which brought her numerous awards, including an Golden
Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. After her Oscar-winning performance from
Girl, Interrupted, Jolie made an appearance in Pushing Tin, a comedy featuring
John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton, and in 2003 she filed for divorce. She played
the wife of the carjacker (Nicolas Cage) in Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000) and
later adopting a British accent and mastered the art of street fighting and
kickboxing for the lead roles in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Lara Croft
Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). Jolie played Alexander's mother in
Oliver Stone's Alexander in 2004 and additionally, she starred alongside Jude
Law and Gwyneth paltrow in Sky Captain: The World of Tomorrow The World of
Tomorrow, a thriller featuring sci-fi in 1930s New York City. Both films were
box-office failures However, Jolie made a splash in Mr. & Mrs. Smith
(2005) the film in which she played an assassin disguised as a typical
housewife. While making the film she was introduced to Brad Pitt, who became
her partner.
